I finally got the top sewn. I found the fringe and thought it would match the car's color well, so I ran the idea past my girlfriend. Once I got the OK on the fringe, I threw it through the machine to stitch it up good.

I hope he doesn't mind me showing it, but here is his deserter with the wheels/tires he won. As the series 1 Deserter has low wheel arches that kind of wrap around, it was likely he would have needed to do a little trimming to the fiberglass. I don't blam

So, We end up emailing and after a few phone calls, not only is a friendship born, but he insisted I take the wheels/tires to check for fit prior to exchanging any money! As you'll see. they fit great.

Heres my beautiful buggy with the new tires/wheels. These are Cragar wheels which are not made any more. They remind me of Ansen Slots, with a few more smaller holes. I do like the look.

I'm not sure yet if I like the looks of the wider track from the front. I'll give it some time to see if it grows on me. If worst comes to worse, I'll shorten the beam when I install the beam adjusters.
