Refurbishing the windshield. The frame and window weatherstripping rubber was painted white. The white paint was all cracked, yellowed, and flaking off. It really looked bad.

I cleaned off all the paint from the weatherstripping rubber and scraped off all the paint from the frame, which was pretty easy. The aluminum frame was anodized a light red color. I see why there was paint over it.

After the frame was painted aluminum, I put the window back in the frame and touched up the few areas that were dinged during reassembly. Here is the finished windshield set overnight to dry.

Here's the flexable conduit I bought to run the wires in. I'll have to glass the conduit in. I used 1/2" conduit. It is a tight fit for the 6V wiring harness.

Once I know the engine fires and runs, I'll feel better about where I sit on my engine project, which is to run the 30 HP engine for a year or so while I'm building up my 140 HP Corvair motor that will eventually be used to power my buggy.
